Ingredients to make Shrimp Scampi Dip
Let’s start by gathering the ingredients we need to make Shrimp Scampi Dip. In Chef Speak this is called the “Mise en Place” which translates to “Everything in its Place”.
Not only does setting your ingredients up ahead of time speed up the cooking process, it also helps ensure you have everything you need to make the dish.
Be sure to check out my classic shrimp scampi recipe while you have these ingredients.
It’s really easy to vary the dip by swapping out the type of cheese you use or the star of the dip. Try using crab, lobster, or your favorite roasted vegetable.
This is a very versatile dip and will be your go-to appetizer for entertaining. Just remember to have enough on hand. Your guests are going to love it!
Serve up this delicious dip with your favorite bread, crackers, or flatbread.

This dip was absolutely incredible. I am on a low carb diet and this was perfect.
I made it as a main dish with a side salad. I didn’t have the wine, but I had everything else.
I love the ease of your recipes.
Thank you, Dennis

Just found this site and happy i did😀. I live in ft. Lauderdale, originally from Baltimore. I was reviewing your crab imperial, looks amazing!! I was looking for a dip and saw the link to this. I’m not a horseradish fan, what cheese can I substitute for crab imperial dip? I’m now torn with crab imperial or the dip, might do both!!
Brenda says
Can you make this dip in advance?
Chef Dennis Littley says

I was lucky enough to find it at my local Publix, but if you can’t find it, just add a little horseradish to regular cheddar

Hi Dennis!
As usual you have made a great dish.
