When I need a pick me up in the middle of the day or a quick breakfast to get me out of the house on time, I reach for a smoothie. And my Tangerine Mango Smoothie is definitely one of my favorites. 2 glasses of Tangerine Mango Smoothie with tangerines and a blender in the background

Most people start thinking about eating healthier in the spring when they begin thinking about bathing suit season. But the truth is the time to begin the process of eating healthier is at the end of summer. When the school year starts, that’s when things really begin to get hectic as we get back into our school year routines. And when we get busy, we use that as an excuse to eat junk food and use the drive through to pick up dinner. Now that’s the sad truth.

Now if you were properly fueled each day and your brain was functioning at a good level, you’d realize you don’t have to make those bad choices, because eating healthy isn’t as hard as you think.

So when things get crazy and I need to keep myself focused and thinking clearly, I make a smoothie. In fact, just the act of making a smoothie calms my nerves as I anticipate the deliciousness to come.

A lot of smoothie recipes call for ice cubes to make get the frozen consistency we all love. I like to freeze different varieties of Noble Juice in ice cube trays and use them for my smoothies. You can make up a bunch at a time and save them in zip-lock bags. They also make your favorite cocktail even more delicious!

No matter what I’m making I always start by gathering my ingredients (aka mise en place). In this case is really pretty easy with only 5 ingredients. I used grass fed organic yogurt to make my Tangerine Mango smoothie but if you’re dairy intolerant adding your favorite nut or soy milk would work just as well.

Oh, the joy of Smoothies……sigh. And if you don’t have mangoes, any fruit you enjoy will do. Mix and match using whatever fruit you have on hand.

But what I love best about my smoothies is using Tangerine juice or Clementine Juice as one of the ingredients. I get all the benefits of the Superfruit Tangerines and by using Noble Juice I get to enjoy the best juices on the planet

      Hi Dennis,

What a great idea, especially for this warm weather. Seems refreshing! I on the other hand don’t really like mango as much, and sometimes find it hard to buy a good one, what other fruit do you recommend I use? Would something like peach ruin the flavor?

      Thanks!

Peaches would work out well in the smoothie, just about any fruit you like would be delicious in a smoothie!
