This is a sponsored post for Superior Small Lodging and Casa Grandview, but all opinions are 100% mine.
I love Florida……sigh, I just can’t say it enough! There are so many beautiful and diverse areas in this great state that I think I could explore Florida everyday for the rest of my life and never see it all. Recently thanks to the wonderful folks at Casa Grandview and Superior Small Lodging I got to spend some time exploring the West Palm Beach Area. And I know I say this quite frequently on my travels, but the Casa Grandview was simply paradise (after all there is a lot of Paradise in Florida).
This gorgeous oasis that The Grantham Family has built in the middle of a quiet residential neighborhood makes you feel as though you’re on your own private island.

The Casa Grandview is a Bed & Breakfast and believe me when I tell you that you won’t leave their breakfast table hungry!
One of the nicest ways to make new friends is at a communal dining table. When you break bread with strangers, they don’t stay strangers for very long, and I loved spending my mornings in the dining room at the Casa Grandview with fellow travelers.
Our stay at the Casa Grandview was in one of their beautifully appointed cottages. This Cottage was called the SeaGrass and made us feel so much at home, we really didn’t want to leave.
Although I didn’t do any cooking on this trip I loved spending time in this bright and cheerful kitchen. They had everything we needed for an extended stay, including a Washer and Dryer.
And being a Food Guy, I have to show the dining room too. I spent my mornings here with my coffee and computer. I love feeling at home at a place and being able to relax.
Just outside our Kitchen door was this beautiful pool. We spent our first night in the heated pool looking at the stars. Does it get any better than that?
Casa Grandview has two pools and we enjoyed this heated saltwater pool, one afternoon.
Of course, we did make our way down to the beach in Palm Beach a few days, even though the weather wasn’t quite the best.
The water was a little choppy, the sky a little cloudy but the water was still a beautiful color and the temperature was in the low 80’s. Still, a good beach day, especially when the beach is this empty.
But there’s a lot more to the area than just beaches, West Palm Beach is a great walking city. City Place (pictured here) has free concerts, restaurants, movies and shopping. You can also take one of the frequent free trolleys to other parts of the town if you don’t feel like walking.
We took the trolley our first night in West Palm Beach to the waterfront, where a free concert and street fair were taking place. We had our dinner at one of the local restaurants enjoying the music and beautiful evening breeze.
Every Saturday from 9am to 1pm Downtown on the West Palm Beach Waterfront, you’ll find the Green Market. You can also find a sweet little farmers market every Sunday from 9am to 1 pm in the Northwood Village section of town.
The Green Market has something for everyone, with farm fresh vegetables and fruits, delicious cooked food, plants, spices, knick Knacks, Crafts and just about anything you could imagine. I loved these beautiful air plants that one booth was selling.
Then it’s time for a trip to Henry Flagler’s Palm Beach, and the courtyard of Via Gucci complete with sequestered alleyways, fountains, courtyards, cafes and shops are just waiting for weary travelers to find, transporting them from Sunny Florida to the Old World Streets of Europe.
Worth Avenue has been described as the most elegant shopping strip in the country (rivaling Rodeo Drive) and with good reason. Bougainvillea-lined archways and cypress-lined ceilings blend with cobblestone walkways and barrel-tiled roofs. Palm Beach is a must visit when you’re in the area and the have quite a few restaurants that won’t break the bank. We enjoyed a delicious evening with friends at Ta-boo Palm Beach’s Legendary American Bistro and Bar.
But we always found our way to the historic and beautiful Casa Grandview where we could relax in the luxury of their parlours.
Casa Grandview is located on 1410 Georgia Ave, West Palm Beach, Florida 33401.
