Tangy, spicy, and just a little sweet, my homemade buffalo wing sauce is so much better than using ready-made sauce, and my easy recipe only takes 5 minutes to make.
12ozFranks Buffalo Wing Sauce or hot sauce of your choice
6ozunsalted butter 1 ½ sticks
3ozhoneyoptional
Instructions
Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat.
Add the honey to the butter and whisk it until it’s well combined. Remove the saucepan from the heat.
Add the hot sauce to the mixture and whisk until well combined. It should have a clingy smooth consistency. You can heat this sauce to a hotter temperature, but it will thin out and not cling as well to the wings. If the sauce gets too hot, it will break, and you'll be left with a greasy mess, so don't let it get too hot.
Set aside sauce until ready to coat wings or add to other recipes.
