Arnold Palmer "The Arnie"

Whether you drink a classic Arnold Palmer with ice tea & lemonade or make it high octane with vodka, this is a perfect drink refreshing summer beverage.

Ingredients

  • 4 tea bags use your favorite brand of tea, regular or decaffeinated
  • 3 cups boiling water
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 boiling water
  • 12 ounces Lemonade
  • 1 splash tangerine juice optional
  • 3-4 slices orange, lime and lemon optional

Instructions

  • Bring water to boil and pour 3 cups over 4 tea bags and allow to steep for 5 minutes.   Remove bags and chill tea in the refrigerator.
  • Add one cup of boiling water to ¾ cup of sugar, making sure the sugar dissolves completely.  This is a simple syrup to sweeten the tea. (If you don't want sweetened tea, eliminate the sugar and use all the 4 cups of water for the tea bags)
  • Mix simple syrup and brewed tea together and chill.
  • Add lemonade, mixing well.
  • Add in citrus slices 
  • Serve in a Collins Glass (12-14 ounces) over ice.  Feel free to add a sprig a mint.
