Three Ingredient Buffalo Sauce Recipe

Tangy, spicy, and just a little sweet, my homemade buffalo wing sauce is so much better than using ready-made sauce, and my easy recipe only takes 5 minutes to make.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz Franks Buffalo Wing Sauce or hot sauce of your choice
  • 6 oz unsalted butter 1 ½ sticks
  • 3 oz honey optional

Instructions

  • Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat.
  • Add the honey to the butter and whisk it until it’s well combined.
Remove the saucepan from the heat.
  • Add the hot sauce to the mixture and whisk until well combined. It should have a clingy smooth consistency.
You can heat this sauce to a hotter temperature, but it will thin out and not cling as well to the wings. If the sauce gets too hot, it will break, and you'll be left with a greasy mess, so don't let it get too hot.
  • Set aside sauce until ready to coat wings or add to other recipes.
