WHAT INGREDIENTS DO I NEED TO MAKE RED VELVET CAKE?

– Cake flour  – Cocoa powder – Baking soda – Salt – Unsalted butter  – Granulated sugar – Vegetable oil – Large eggs  – Vanilla extract – Distilled white vinegar – Red food coloring  – Buttermilk

Add the cake flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt to a large bowl.

Instructions

Add the butter and sugar to the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, then whip until well combined.

Add the oil, egg yolks, vanilla extract, and vinegar to the butter-sugar mixture. Beat at high speed for 2 minutes.

With the mixer on low speed, add the flour mixture in 3 additions, alternating with the buttermilk between  each addition.
