Since moving to Florida my quality of life has improved drastically and it may have something to do with the easy going life style, white sand beaches and of course my new tropical happy hour drinks made with Puerto Rican Rum! Can you say IT”S RUM TIME!
This post is brought to you by my friends at Rums of Puerto Rico . The content and opinions are 100% mine.
For me moving to Florida was like going home. It may not be Texas but it sure is a heck of a lot closer than New Jersey. While Texas will always be my home, Florida has gained a special place in my heart. Although New Jersey never felt like home to me, I did spoiled with having the seashore just a short drive away. There’s something to be said for the peace and serenity of the beach, the seagulls and the sound of the surf.
And while we’d like to live closer to the shoreline, living in Kissimmee has given us the best of both worlds. We’re a short drive from Orlando, the airport and all the major attractions in the area, as well as so many delicious little communities with amazing restaurants and shops. Add in that were only an hour and a half from the Gulf or the Atlantic and that makes our location even better.
Life is good in Sunny Florida with its palm trees, beaches and casual attire…..sigh. And of course its happy hours, which some days begin shortly after breakfast, because you know, it’s always 5 O’Clock somewhere. Now don’t get me wrong, I really don’t drink very much, retirement has also made a lightweight out of me. But when I do drink I want something tasty, refreshing and fruity. After all fruit is good for you……right?
And my favorite fruity drink will always be a Piña Colada and that my friends means “IT’S RUM TIME!” , and time for a frozen Piña Colada!
But Then again there’s always the traditional Piña Colada which is a great choice if you don’t have a blender or feel like cleaning it, because after all its Happy Hour!
Or we can go with one of Lisa’s favorites a Florida Pineapple Rum Sangria !!
