When I began blogging five years ago I had no idea where the journey would take me or how it would affect my life. I often joke that if I had known when I started how much work being a Food Blogger would be, I would have run off screaming and found and other hobby to occupy my time.
But the truth is that blogging not only rekindled my love for food, but reminded me why I had become a chef so many years ago and breathed new life into my tired existence. Blogging has opened doors for me and taken me places I never would have imagined possible and introduced me to people from around the globe, making the world smaller and more personal for me.
As I continue to go through these doors I feel as though the World is my Oyster and the opportunities I have are only limited to the paths I choose to follow. Currently my energies are being focused on Google+, my three live weekly shows, my community and continued growth as Influencer on the Plus.
If you were to ask me what I was most thankful for as a blogger, its a question I wouldn’t have to think twice about. It’s all about the people I’ve met along the way, the friends that I have made during this incredible journey.
So when one of my dear friends Kita from Pass the Sushi asked if I’d like to participate in a type of cross country blog tour it was again an easy decision. One because Kita had asked me, and two because I had the opportunity to shout a few of my friends whose blogs I’ve loved reading through out the years. Before I get started I would like to mention if you haven’t been to Pass the Sushi before and you love food, you don’t know what you’re missing! And when you’re done with her Fat Kid Friendly recipes head on over to Girl Carnivore where you guessed it, its all about meat! Check out the picture below of her Brown Sugar Rubbed Baby Back Ribs and you’ll see what I mean!
Now that I’m good and hungry lets move on to three of my favorite blogs and the reason for this delicious post!
When I first started blogging my adventure led me to Foodbuzz (may it rest in peace) and the three bloggers I’m shouting out today were friends that I made during those early days of blogging.
My first shout out goes out to the blogger I ofter refer to as my business manager because she created Ask Chef Dennis and helped me become who I am today in the blogging world, and that is my friend Toni from Boulder Locavore. Toni is an incredible Food Photographer and Recipe Developer that as you can tell from her blog name supports local foods and businessess. But what really makes Toni’s dishes so special is that for the most part they are entirely Gluten Free. Of course Toni sees to it that none of the deliciousness is removed in the process. Make sure to subscribe to her blog Boulder Locavore and follow her on Twitter, Google Plus, Pinterest and Facebook so you don’t miss a recipe like the Buffalo Chicken Lasagna pictured below!
Next on my list is a blogger that I’ve actually met in person and whose blog I have loved since the first day I saw it on Foodbuzz Kim from Liv Life. Kim’s blog is named for her daughter Liv who I can proudly say wrote a guest post for my blog “Big to Small What Ants are so Little” . Liv is an amazing young lady and if you’ve followed Kim’s blog then you know that already, and if you haven’t then besides the delicious recipes and gorgeous images its another reason to follow Liv Life. You can Subscribe to Liv Life, as well as follow in Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus and Pinterest so you won’t miss one morsel of deliciousness! If you don’t belive me take a look at her Hot Cocoa Snickerdoodles pictured below!
Last but not least brings us to one of the sweetest blogging friends I have made on this world wide web, and that would be Dionne from Try Anthing Once. Dionne has inspired me with her kindness, positive attitude, willingness to help others and amazing cooking ability! I have watched her become an excellent food photographer and videographer as shes taken her blog to the next level. Being a food blogger means wearing man hats and Dionne looks great in al of them! Make sure to subscribe to Try Anything Once to see all the delicious creations she shares with us, and follow Dionne on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Google Plus to keep informed on all the projects shes working on. Check out the Pear Struesel Sweet Rolls pictured below to see for yourself!
Thanks for joining in on The Culinary Tour as I share a few of my favorite bloggers with you!!
