One of the best things about living in New Jersey is all the great local produce. When they say “Jersey Fresh” pay attention, because that means you’re looking at some of the best tasting produce you’ll ever find, after all New Jersey is the Garden State!
Every Saturday from early May till mid November, the Collingswood Farmers Market sets up for business and my friends, it’s a wonderful thing. Last weekend I picked up some red ripe and oh so delicious field grown Jersey Tomatoes as well as the first Jersey Corn of the season, a bag of 50 local little neck clams, and 2 dozen organic cage free eggs ( not to mention a nice assortment of herbs and greens)
I also brought my camera along to document this wonderful local farmers market, so take a walk with me as I point out some of the mornings highlights.
There’s always live entertainment, so pull up a chair, enjoy a cup of coffee, and a freshly baked muffin! Then let the shopping begin!
And don’t forget to bring home some flowers!
There’s always something new at the Collingswood Farmers Market, and it’s a great place to meet friends. Just remember to bring a strong tote bag to hold all the goodies as you fill your market basket full of Jersey Fresh Produce, and all the other wonderful foods they have to offer!
